Strategic Finance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Foster and sustain robust relationships and collaboration with Seed Company Field leaders and Growth Partners consultants.

• Act as a Finance Consultant for designated partners while keeping the Lead Consultant updated on partner engagement.

• Engage in organizational reviews within the Operations and Finance sectors as assigned.

• Assess and propose modifications to partner workplans that influence Strategic Finance and related competencies.

• Assist partner finance leaders in crafting operational plans, SMART goals, and staffing strategies.

• Establish financial services and synergize finance with other organizational functions to ensure partner success.

• Oversee and assess advancements in developing partner financial services.

• Keep partner leadership apprised of necessary decisions for optimal outcomes.

• Facilitate the creation of partners’ finance workplans alongside Lead Consultants.

• Deliver subject matter training as required.

• Design and execute training modules focused on project financial management.

• Mentor and train partner financial leaders in operational planning and budgeting processes.

• Review and refine finance consulting and coaching methodologies.

• Document insights, effective practices, and lessons learned pertaining to finance consulting strategies and outcomes.

• Participate in Growth Partners team meetings and continuous training initiatives.

• Attend meetings and task forces, stay informed about operating procedures and policies, and lead or engage in organization-wide projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in Finance or equivalent CPA credentials or experience.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance Manager/Accountant role.

• Practical understanding or willingness to learn the basics of organizational development, cross-cultural fieldwork, international consulting, or similar work experience.

• Proven experience and effectiveness in mentoring others within a cross-cultural environment.

• Proficiency in French is preferred.

• Must be eligible to hold a passport or travel to necessary countries.

• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.

• Willingness to travel to areas with limited medical assistance.

• Prepared to visit regions with malaria risk.

• Able to work in environments with minimal environmental controls.

• Willing to travel for over 4 hours in vehicles on rugged terrain.

• Able to travel both domestically and internationally for up to 12 weeks per year.
