Strategic Cyber Advisory Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Transform NCC Group’s technical expertise, global cybersecurity knowledge, and market insights into engaging, sector-specific propositions.

• Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to create account strategies and cultivate high-value opportunities.

• Enhance executive engagement and establish NCC Group as a long-term partner in cyber resilience.

• Offer advisory insights on technical cyber risks, regulatory compliance, AI implementation, identity modernization, third-party vulnerabilities, operational resilience, and assurance needs.

• Shift client dialogues from project-focused engagements to strategic partnerships, fostering repeatable proposition-led growth and delivering higher-value results.

• Operate across sales, delivery, marketing, public affairs, and client advisory initiatives.

• Interact with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, as well as audit, risk, compliance, legal, privacy, and board-level stakeholders.

• Discover long-term, high-value cybersecurity opportunities through a consulting-focused methodology.

• Deliver senior advisory support encompassing technical assurance, cyber governance, regulatory preparedness, digital identity, cloud security, application and product security, third-party risk, operational resilience, AI governance, incident preparedness, continuous assurance, and proactive security measures.

• Create sector-specific account plans, opportunity strategies, and pursuit methodologies for strategic accounts.

• Assist account teams in qualifying opportunities, crafting executive messaging, preparing for senior client meetings, and positioning NCC Group as a strategic cyber resilience partner.

• Foster trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders through an independent perspective, market insights, and practical advice.

• Represent NCC Group at thought leadership events, executive roundtables, industry forums, partner events, and cybersecurity conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in cybersecurity, cyber advisory, consulting, cyber services, technology, risk, compliance, or security leadership.

• A deep understanding of cyber risks, regulatory requirements, audit processes, remediation initiatives, operational resilience, third-party risk, fraud exposure, data protection, AI risk, and board-level reporting.

• Ability to engage credibly with senior business, technology, risk, and security stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, enterprise risk leaders, audit, compliance, fraud, legal, privacy, engineering, and board-level audiences.

• A robust network of senior customer relationships and industry contacts, along with a proven record of converting trusted relationships into qualified pipelines, executive introductions, revenue growth, and new business opportunities.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity services and offerings, such as technical assurance, governance and compliance, identity management, cloud security, incident preparedness, red teaming, continuous testing, managed detection and response, AI security, and third-party risk.

• Capability to translate complex technical security capabilities into clear business, risk, regulatory, and operational outcomes that resonate with executive stakeholders.

• Strong commercial insight, an entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative, practical, and proactive approach, with the ability to influence across Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Product, Solution Architecture, Partners, and senior leadership.

• Experience in Financial Services and Insurance (FSI), Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS), Retail, or Industrial sectors is especially valuable.
