
Strategic Cyber Advisory Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Identify long-term, high-value cybersecurity opportunities by aligning client business priorities, regulatory demands, and cyber risks with NCC Group’s offerings and capabilities.
• Deliver senior-level advisory support across various areas including technical assurance, cyber governance, regulatory preparedness, digital identity, cloud security, application and product security, third-party risk, operational resilience, AI governance, incident readiness, continuous assurance, and proactive security.
• Create sector-specific account plans, opportunity strategies, and pursuit tactics for strategic accounts in collaboration with sales and delivery teams.
• Assist account teams in qualifying opportunities, crafting executive messaging, preparing for high-level client meetings, and positioning NCC Group as a key partner in cyber resilience.
• Foster trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders by providing independent insights, market knowledge, and practical advice.
• Represent NCC Group in external settings through thought leadership, executive roundtables, industry forums, partner events, and cybersecurity conferences.
• Convert NCC Group’s technical expertise, global cyber knowledge, and market insights into propositions relevant to specific sectors.
• Collaborate across sales, delivery, marketing, public affairs, and client advisory roles with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, as well as audit, risk, compliance, legal, privacy, and board-level stakeholders.
• Extensive senior-level experience in cybersecurity, cyber advisory, consulting, cyber services, technology, risk management, compliance, or security leadership.
• Profound understanding of cyber risks, regulatory requirements, audit processes, remediation programs, operational resilience, third-party risk, fraud exposure, data protection, AI risks, and board-level reporting.
• Capacity to engage credibly with senior business, technology, risk, and security stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, enterprise risk leaders, audit, compliance, fraud, legal, privacy, engineering, and board-level audiences.
• Extensive network of senior customer relationships and industry contacts, with a proven ability to transform trusted connections into qualified pipelines, executive introductions, revenue growth, and new logo opportunities.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity services and offerings, including technical assurance, governance and compliance, identity management, cloud security, incident readiness, red teaming, continuous testing, managed detection and response, AI security, and third-party risk.
• Ability to articulate complex technical security capabilities into clear business, risk, regulatory, and operational outcomes that resonate with executive stakeholders.
• Strong commercial insight, entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative approach, pragmatic and proactive style, with the ability to influence across Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Product, Solution Architecture, Partners, and senior leadership.
