Strategic Clinical Quality Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create, execute, maintain, and assess data-driven quality assessment and performance enhancement programs.

• Advocate for Continuous Quality Improvement principles, methods, and tools to enhance processes and patient outcomes.

• Supervise clinical quality across in-center, home hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis modalities.

• Analyze data and information, prioritize areas for improvement, pinpoint root causes, and develop, implement, assess, and refine improvement plans.

• Facilitate the integration of FKC Quality programs and initiatives into facility standard operating procedures.

• Act as a clinical quality subject matter expert and identify opportunities to comply with CMS Conditions for Coverage and FMS quality standards.

• Oversee the implementation of quality initiatives, interventions, and standardized educational materials with facility RNs.

• Offer nursing and clinical guidance to facility RNs regarding quality, patient satisfaction, teamwork, unit culture, and employee satisfaction.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in Clinical Quality, Education, Clinical Services, Regulatory, and Compliance.

• Mentor and train staff in data collection, trending, and analysis to enhance patient-centered care and outcomes.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, clinical pathways, algorithms, standing orders, and policies to overcome quality-improvement obstacles.

• Employ tools, resources, and informatics technology to focus on specific patient populations.

• Guide facilities in identifying, testing, adopting, and implementing effective quality-improvement practices.

• Provide expertise and guidance on quality policies, standards, tools, and electronic applications.

• Review facility QAPI documentation, QAI activities, calendars, tools, and electronic applications.

• Participate in QAPI, regional, area, facility, and team meetings.

• Identify risk areas, assist with root-cause analyses, and develop and evaluate action plans.

• Offer written or verbal recommendations to facility and area management.

• Implement educational programs using adult education principles.

• Maintain timely communication and foster working relationships with patients, staff, physicians, management, payers, and other stakeholders.

• Support assigned projects and carry out other related duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSN or a Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Registered Nurse license is required.

• Certification in Nephrology Nursing or quality is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of dialysis experience is required.

• At least 3 years of management experience in a clinical leadership role.

• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills.

• Proven leadership competencies and adaptability to changing priorities.

• Ability to collaborate with team members and secure support and input while engaging in quality improvement activities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to analyze and propose alternative solutions and assist in resolving sensitive and complex issues.

• Knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage for ESRD facilities.

• Familiarity with quality improvement concepts, principles, and practices.

• Understanding of FMS clinical and administrative policies and procedures.

• Working knowledge of Value-Based Payer Programs.
