Strategic Clinical Quality Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, sustain, and assess quality assessment and performance improvement programs driven by data.

• Advocate for and assist in the application of Continuous Quality Improvement principles, methods, and tools to enhance processes and patient outcomes.

• Supervise clinical quality across various modalities including in-center, inpatient, home hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis.

• Aid in the integration of FKC Quality programs and initiatives into the standard operating procedures of the facility.

• Act as a subject matter expert in clinical quality, identifying opportunities for improvement to fulfill CMS Conditions for Coverage and FMS quality standards.

• Oversee the implementation of quality initiatives, interventions, and standardized educational materials with facility RNs.

• Provide nursing and clinical support to facility RNs regarding quality, patient satisfaction, teamwork, unit culture, and employee satisfaction.

• Collaborate with Clinical Quality leadership, Education, Clinical Services, Regulatory, Compliance, and other stakeholders.

• Mentor and instruct staff in collecting, trending, and analyzing data to enhance patient-centered care and outcomes.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, clinical pathways, policies, procedures, algorithms, and standing orders to mitigate quality barriers.

• Leverage tools, resources, and informatics technology to concentrate on specific patient populations.

• Review facility QAPI documentation, participate in QAPI meetings, and assess the effectiveness of facility QAPI and CQI initiatives.

• Evaluate QAI activities, calendars, tools, and electronic applications.

• Attend regional, area, facility, and team meetings.

• Identify risk areas, assist in root cause analyses and action plans, and offer recommendations to management.

• Implement educational programs utilizing adult education principles.

• Maintain productive relationships and communication with patients, staff, physicians, field management, payers, and other clients.

• Support projects and carry out additional related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BSN or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A Registered Nurse license is required.

• Certification in Nephrology Nursing or quality is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of dialysis experience is required.

• At least 3 years of management experience in a clinical leadership role is necessary.

• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service abilities.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with team members, gaining support and input while engaging in quality improvement efforts.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in analyzing and suggesting alternative solutions, assisting in the resolution of sensitive and complex issues.

• Ability to work remotely from a home location within the United States.

• Willingness and capacity to travel approximately 40–60% between assigned facilities and various community locations.
