This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the launch and continuous expansion of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and patient support information.
• Engage with ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Educate clients on ALS disease awareness, screening, diagnostic pathways, and the urgency of appropriate treatment.
• Build and sustain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders.
• Enhance positive prescribing experiences through Otsuka’s access and patient support programs.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Formulate strategic account plans utilizing customer feedback, various data sources, and market intelligence.
• Navigate the stakeholders, contacts, process flows, treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and therapy initiation barriers at ALS Centers of Excellence.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support to compliantly eliminate therapy access obstacles.
• Chart patient journeys, referral networks, treatment pathways, and barriers to diagnosis and treatment.
• Work alongside Thought Leaders Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional partners.
• Utilize Otsuka platforms and technology to document account contacts, IDN process flows, and community referral patterns.
• Complete training and execute brand strategy, messaging, disease-state knowledge, and customer engagement tactics within the assigned region.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic roles within the biotech/pharma commercial field; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Proficiency in navigating Centers of Excellence and IDNs, including KOL engagement.
• Experience with rare and/or ultra-rare diseases.
• Coordination of cross-functional field teams.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success with a consistent Top 30% ranking over a minimum of 2 years or achievement awards.
• Must reside within the assigned region.
• Capability to comprehend, learn, and convey complex clinical data and outcomes.
• Familiarity with strategic account plans, market intelligence, hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement processes, patient journeys, referral networks, genetic testing, and genetic counseling.
• Ability to complete necessary training and certifications on approved clinical resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and engagement policies.
