This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in launching and fostering the ongoing development of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and patient support details.
• Provide education to ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, and non-clinical stakeholders regarding disease awareness, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders.
• Enhance prescribing experiences by effectively communicating and facilitating access and patient support programs.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Formulate strategic account plans and leverage customer insights and market intelligence to influence regional strategies.
• Navigate ALS Centers of Excellence, pinpoint stakeholders and contacts, document process flows, and promote Otsuka’s objectives.
• Manage treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support to compliantly eliminate therapy access challenges.
• Identify and document local referral networks and ALS referral trends.
• Outline patient journeys and devise solutions to overcome obstacles related to diagnosis, referral, genetic testing, counseling, and treatment.
• Work closely with Thought Leaders Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional collaborators.
• Utilize Otsuka platforms and technology to document account contacts, IDN process flows, and community referral patterns.
• Attend meetings and training programs, implementing brand strategy, messaging, disease-state knowledge, and customer engagement tactics in the designated region.
• Achieve certification on approved clinical resources, messaging, business acumen training, compliance, and engagement policies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred 10+ years of experience (minimum of 8 years) in strategic roles within the Biotech/Pharma commercial field.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Proficiency in Center of Excellence and IDN Navigation, including KOL engagement.
• Experience with Rare and/or Ultra-Rare Diseases.
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams.
• Strong preference for backgrounds in rare neurology, CAR-T, or Gene Therapy account management.
• Advanced clinical degrees are favored but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success record, including consistent high rankings (Top 30%) over a minimum of 2 years or achievement awards.
• Must reside in the designated Region.
• Ability to comprehend and articulate complex clinical data and outcomes.
• Experience in developing strategic account plans utilizing diverse data sources, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
• Familiarity with hospital purchasing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
• Capable of navigating complex treatment logistics, patient onboarding, and therapy initiation challenges.
• Proficient in mapping patient journeys, referral networks, and treatment pathways.
• Completion of all required clinical, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and policy certifications/training.
