This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the initiation and ongoing expansion of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical information, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and details about patient support programs.
• Provide education to ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, and significant non-clinical stakeholders.
• Raise awareness about the disease state, the screening and diagnostic processes, and the prioritization of suitable patients.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders.
• Foster positive prescribing experiences through Otsuka's access and patient support initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Formulate strategic account plans based on customer feedback, market insights, and a variety of data sources.
• Navigate ALS Centers of Excellence, identify key stakeholders, document process flows, and promote Otsuka's objectives.
• Manage treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support to address hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement processes, and account workflows.
• Identify and document local referral networks and patterns for ALS referrals.
• Map patient journeys and tackle obstacles related to recognition, referral, genetic testing, counseling, and connections to treatment centers.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Thought Leads Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, and Leadership.
• Utilize Otsuka platforms and technology to record account contacts, IDN process flows, and referral trends.
• Complete necessary meetings, training sessions, and certifications that encompass brand strategy, clinical resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and engagement standards.
• A valid U.S. driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic roles within the Biotech/Pharma commercial field; 10+ years is preferred.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Familiarity with navigation of Centers of Excellence and IDNs, including engagement with KOLs.
• Experience in rare and/or ultra-rare diseases.
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams.
• A background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or gene therapy account management is highly preferred.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN are prioritized but not mandatory.
• A proven history of success, including consistent high rankings (Top 30%) over a minimum of 2+ years or achievement awards.
• Must be based in the Mid-Atlantic region.
