This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the initiation and continued expansion of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical information, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access regulations, therapy access, and patient support details.
• Collaborate with ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare professionals, and significant non-clinical stakeholders.
• Enhance performance while working alongside cross-functional partners and external clients to ensure optimal patient care and align with Otsuka’s objectives.
• Introduce and promote the FUS-ALS treatment while supporting future initiatives in rare neurology.
• Provide education to stakeholders regarding disease-state awareness, screening, and diagnostic pathways.
• Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders.
• Assist in prescribing through Otsuka access and patient support initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Formulate strategic account plans utilizing customer insights, market intelligence, and varied data sources.
• Navigate ALS Centers of Excellence, recognize stakeholders, document process flows, and advance Otsuka’s goals.
• Address treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support teams to address reimbursement and therapy-access challenges in a compliant manner.
• Outline referral networks and patient journeys, pinpointing obstacles to diagnosis, referral, genetic testing, counseling, and treatment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet customer and patient requirements.
• Utilize Otsuka platforms and technology to record account contacts, IDN process flows, and referral patterns.
• Complete meetings, training sessions, and certifications on brand strategy, disease state, messaging, compliance, and engagement policies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic roles within the Biotech/Pharma commercial field; 10+ years is preferred.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficiency in navigating Centers of Excellence and IDNs, including KOL engagement.
• Experience with rare and/or ultra-rare diseases.
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams.
• Strong preference for background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or gene therapy account management.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN are prioritized but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated history of success, including a consistent Top 30% ranking over a minimum of 2+ years or recognition awards.
• Must reside in the Southeast region.
• Compliance with authorized clinical resources, messaging, business acumen training, Otsuka policies, and relevant HCP and patient engagement guidelines.
