This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the initiation and ongoing expansion of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access regulations, therapy accessibility, and patient support information.
• Collaborate with ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Inform stakeholders about ALS disease awareness, screening, diagnostic pathways, and the prioritization of appropriate treatments.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Enhance prescribing experiences positively through Otsuka's access and patient support initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Create strategic account plans and convert insights into regional strategies and execution.
• Navigate ALS Center of Excellence stakeholders, document contacts and process flows, and promote Otsuka’s objectives.
• Address treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support to compliantly eliminate therapy barriers.
• Map patient journeys and identify deficiencies in recognition, referral, genetic testing, genetic counseling, and access to treatment centers.
• Develop solutions and relationships to bridge market-development gaps.
• Work alongside Thought Leaders Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional partners.
• Share account contact details and document IDN process flows and community referral trends utilizing Otsuka technology.
• Complete meetings, training programs, and certifications related to brand strategy, disease state, messaging, customer engagement, compliance, and company policies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in biotech/pharma commercial field strategic roles; 10+ years is preferred.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficiency in navigating Centers of Excellence and IDNs, including KOL engagement.
• Experience in rare and/or ultra-rare diseases.
• Coordination of cross-functional field teams.
• Strongly preferred background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or gene therapy account management.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN are prioritized but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success record, including consistent top 30% ranking for at least 2 years and/or achievement awards.
• Must reside within the specified region.
• Ability to comprehend and articulate complex clinical data and outcomes.
• Experience in developing strategic account plans utilizing diverse data sources, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
• Familiarity with hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement processes, and account process flows.
• Knowledge of treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Capability to identify and document referral networks and patient journeys.
• Proficiency in utilizing Otsuka platforms and technology.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications on clinical resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and company policies.
