This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the launch and continuous development of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical information, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy accessibility, and patient support details.
• Provide education to ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, and significant non-clinical stakeholders regarding disease awareness, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Enhance prescribing experiences by implementing access and patient support initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Formulate strategic account plans and leverage insights to influence regional strategy and execution.
• Navigate through ALS Centers of Excellence, identify stakeholders, document process flows, and promote Otsuka's objectives.
• Address logistical challenges related to treatment, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support teams to compliantly eliminate obstacles to therapy.
• Map out referral networks and patient journeys, identifying challenges to diagnosis, genetic testing, referral, and treatment.
• Work together with Thought Leaders Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional partners.
• Record account contacts, IDN process flows, and community referral trends using Otsuka platforms.
• Complete training and certification programs to execute brand strategy, messaging, disease-state knowledge, and customer engagement strategies.
• Launch and promote Otsuka’s FUS-ALS treatment while supporting future rare neurology programs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic roles within the biotech/pharma commercial field; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Proficiency in Center of Excellence and IDN navigation, including KOL engagement.
• Experience in rare and/or ultra-rare diseases.
• Coordination of cross-functional field teams.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN are strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated proven success with a consistent Top 30% ranking for a minimum of 2 years, achievement awards, or similar recognition.
• Must reside in the designated region.
• Preferred experience in rare neurology, CAR-T, or gene therapy account management.
• Ability to comprehend and articulate complex clinical data and outcomes.
• Familiarity with hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement processes, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Competence in developing strategic account plans using customer feedback, market intelligence, and various data sources.
• Capability to identify and document referral networks, patient pathways, and treatment access challenges.
• Proficient in using Otsuka platforms and technology.
• Completion of mandatory training and certifications on approved clinical resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and HCP/patient engagement policies.
