This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the initiation and continuous development of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise.
• Convey intricate clinical information, including data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and patient support details.
• Collaborate with ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Raise awareness among stakeholders regarding ALS disease, screening, diagnostics, and treatment prioritization.
• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders as a trustworthy clinical resource.
• Enhance positive prescribing experiences through Otsuka's access and patient support initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Formulate strategic account plans utilizing customer insights, diverse data sources, and market intelligence.
• Navigate through ALS Centers of Excellence, identify relevant stakeholders and contacts, document process flows, and advance Otsuka's objectives.
• Tackle treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Support teams to compliantly eliminate therapy access obstacles.
• Identify and document referral networks and the journeys of ALS patients.
• Address challenges related to diagnosis, specialist referrals, genetic testing, genetic counseling, and connections to treatment centers.
• Work alongside Thought Leaders, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional partners.
• Utilize Otsuka platforms and technology to record account contacts, IDN process flows, and community referral patterns.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions, implementing brand strategy, messaging, disease-state knowledge, and customer-engagement tactics within the assigned region.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and driving record in accordance with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic roles within the Biotech/Pharma commercial field; 10+ years is preferred.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Knowledge of Center of Excellence and IDN Navigation, including KOL engagement.
• Experience with Rare and/or Ultra-Rare Diseases.
• Coordination of cross-functional field teams.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or Gene Therapy account management.
• Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN are prioritized but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated history of success, including consistent Top 30% ranking over a minimum of 2 years or receipt of achievement awards.
• Must reside within the assigned region.
• Capability to comprehend and communicate complex clinical data and outcomes.
• Experience in strategic account planning, market intelligence, hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement procedures, treatment logistics, patient onboarding, and barriers to therapy initiation.
• Ability to chart patient journeys, referral networks, diagnostic pathways, genetic testing, and genetic counseling.
• Willingness to complete necessary training and certifications on approved resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and engagement policies.
