This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the safe, efficient, and profitable implementation of steam turbine installation, repair, retrofit, outage, and maintenance projects.

• Provide guidance and direction to superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and project groups.

• Act as ProcessBarron's primary field representative for clients.

• Advocate for and enforce a safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, site standards, and company protocols.

• Conduct safety briefings, audits, field inspections, and job hazard evaluations.

• Manage daily field operations and coordinate the allocation of manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.

• Ensure projects align with scope, timelines, quality, productivity, and budgetary goals.

• Engage in outage planning, execution evaluations, and project closure activities.

• Review drawings, specifications, work packages, and client requirements.

• Assist with inspections, troubleshooting, alignment, balancing, and repair tasks.

• Address technical challenges and ensure adherence to engineering standards, OEM guidelines, and industry best practices.

• Lead customer meetings, outage planning discussions, and daily project briefings.

• Coordinate operations, engineering, field services, fabrication, machining, and project management teams.

• Track labor utilization, productivity, schedule adherence, project expenses, and key performance indicators.

• Support estimating, planning, forecasting, and project assessments; identify opportunities for profitability and efficiency enhancements.

• Mentor, coach, and provide performance feedback to field staff; nurture the development of future leaders.

• Implement technologies and best practices to enhance field execution.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising heavy industrial construction, turbine outages, maintenance, or rotating equipment projects.

• At least three (3) years of leadership experience managing field staff, superintendents, contractors, or construction teams.

• Experience working directly with industrial manufacturing facilities, pulp and paper mills, utilities, refineries, or power generation clients.

• Strong understanding of steam turbine systems, outage planning, installation techniques, and maintenance processes.

• Proven dedication to safety leadership and OSHA compliance.

• Preferred qualifications: experience with specific turbine OEM equipment; PMP Certification; major turbine outages and capital projects; knowledge of ASME standards, rigging, crane operations, welding, and millwright activities; advanced training in business or project management.

• Willingness and ability to travel across North America.

• Must be open to working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and during outages.

• Availability for emergency customer requests is essential.

• Capability to work safely in heavy industrial and power generation settings, including heights exceeding 100 feet and confined spaces.

• Ability to wear necessary PPE and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project or similar software, ERP systems, construction reporting tools, and timekeeping/workforce management applications.
