Steam Field Services Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the costing, planning, coordination, and execution of Nuclear Field Services projects.

• Assist in the development of proposals and the negotiation of contracts.

• Initiate projects within the ERP system.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for installation and maintenance services during the R process.

• Participate in pre-proposal and negotiation meetings.

• Create project scope, schedules, loadboards, JCE, tooling, quotes, parts, resources, and deliverables.

• Organize job sites and outages prior to mobilization.

• Generate JIS, labor, and specialty service requests.

• Coordinate design engineering, customer interaction, and pre-site activities.

• Facilitate LORaP workshops.

• Request internal and external purchase orders.

• Develop and finalize the GE OneEHS plan before and upon site mobilization.

• Create outage work-order task plans that address safety, equipment, parts, tooling, specialty services, and resources.

• Oversee project costs and estimates towards completion.

• Plan and manage project schedules and payment milestones, including contingency planning.

• Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.

• Address issues related to safety, quality, FME, NCRs, parts, engineering, controls, and commercial matters.

• Deliver accurate management reports.

• Obtain technical and financial authorization for projects.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage authorization for scope changes.

• Provide project leadership from inception to delivery and conduct feedback reviews.

• Complete field service reports, ETC 127 engineering documentation, POR documents, project closeout reports, best practices, lessons learned, and OE summaries.

• Attend training seminars as necessary.

• Promote GE products during customer presentations and events.

• Foster relationships with customers, peers, engineering, and global teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or 10 years of relevant work experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience in the power generation or industrial manufacturing sector.

• At least 5 years of relevant commercial and negotiation experience.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Capability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in Canada, Mexico, or the U.S.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% annually within Canada, Mexico, and internationally.

• Ability to secure and maintain a valid passport.

• Readiness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.

• Physical ability to walk up to 5 miles daily, climb 3 flights of stairs three times a day, and climb ladders as required.

• Familiarity with PMP concepts and processes.

• Experience with Steam Power systems in a Nuclear, Fossil, or Gas power plant environment.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and possess working knowledge of Primavera P6.

• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
