Steam Field Services Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the costing, planning, coordination, and execution of nuclear field services projects.

• Assist in the development of proposals and the negotiation of contracts.

• Initiate projects within the ERP system.

• Act as a subject matter expert for installation and maintenance services throughout the R process.

• Participate in pre-proposal and negotiation meetings.

• Create project scope, timelines, loadboards, JCE, tooling, quotes, parts, resources, and deliverables.

• Prepare job sites and outages prior to mobilization.

• Produce JIS, labor, and specialty service requests.

• Coordinate design engineering, customer communication, and pre-site activities.

• Facilitate Lean Outage Risk and Protectivity workshops.

• Request internal and external purchase orders.

• Develop and finalize GE OneEHS plans prior to mobilization and upon site mobilization.

• Create outage work-order task plans by considering safety, equipment, parts, tooling, specialty services, and resources.

• Manage project costs and provide ongoing estimates to completion.

• Plan and oversee project schedules and payment milestones, including contingency strategies.

• Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.

• Address safety, quality, FME, NCR, parts, engineering, controls, and commercial issues during project execution.

• Deliver accurate management reports for assigned projects.

• Secure technical and financial authorization for projects.

• Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee the Scope Change Authorization process.

• Provide project leadership from inception to delivery and conduct project feedback reviews.

• Complete field services reports, engineering change documentation, POR documents, project closeout, best practices, lessons learned, and operating experience summaries.

• Attend training seminars as required.

• Advocate for GE products during customer presentations and events.

• Cultivate relationships with customers, colleagues, engineering teams, and global teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related technical discipline from an accredited institution, or 10 years of relevant work experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience in the power generation or industrial manufacturing sector.

• At least 5 years of commercial and negotiation experience.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility in Canada, Mexico, or the United States.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time annually within Canada, Mexico, and internationally.

• Capability to get and maintain a valid passport.

• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

• Physical ability to walk up to 5 miles per day, ascend 3 flights of stairs three times a day, and climb ladders as required.

• Knowledge of PMP concepts and processes.

• Experience with Steam Power systems in a Nuclear, Fossil, or Gas power plant environment.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and possess working knowledge of Primavera P6.

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills tailored for both technical and business audiences.

• Ability to navigate successfully in a matrix environment while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
