Station Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Develop substation drawing packages that encompass one-line diagrams, substation layout and elevation drawings, electrical assembly schematics, equipment manufacturing blueprints, foundation and grounding layouts, conduit and cable routing plans, cable schedules, bills of materials, and comprehensive electrical connection diagrams.

• Implement Lean manufacturing principles in product fabrication processes and for both existing and new product configurations.

• Lead and support capital projects aimed at enhancing safety, production efficiency, and product quality.

• Diagnose production issues and offer recommendations based on thorough analysis.

• Propel engineering-related manufacturing modifications to enhance quality, reduce costs, and minimize lead times.

• Deliver solutions for challenges impacting operator safety, product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

• Assess and evaluate manufacturing techniques, equipment, and standards.

• Generate 3D models and drawings utilizing SolidWorks software.

• Assess drawings produced by others for precision and alignment with company standards.

• Evaluate customer specifications in relation to company standards and capabilities.

• Issue Engineering Change Notices accompanied by necessary documentation.

• Compile final reports and perform quality checks on documents and reports.

• Oversee process validation and pilot production efforts for newly developed or enhanced equipment and processes.

• Explore new technologies and possibilities for equipment, design, and assembly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (mandatory).

• 3-6 years of engineering experience focusing on design, development, or project management (mandatory).

• Proficient in engineering software and tools essential for design, analysis, and execution (mandatory).

• Familiarity with or application of Lean manufacturing principles.

• Capable of troubleshooting production challenges and providing recommendations grounded in detailed analysis.

• Skilled in analyzing and evaluating manufacturing techniques, equipment, and standards.

• Experience in creating 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.

• Competence in reviewing drawings for accuracy and adherence to company standards.

• Ability to compare customer specifications against company standards and capabilities.

• Proficient in issuing Engineering Change Notices with the requisite documentation.

• Capable of preparing reports and ensuring the accuracy of data, information, and calculations.

• Ability to assist in process validation and pilot production initiatives.

• Skilled in investigating new technologies and alternatives for equipment, design, and assembly.

• Proven accuracy, thoroughness, sound judgment, timely decision-making, and a commitment to quality.
