This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead on-site and/or virtual learning sessions for state FFA officers within designated state associations.
• Deliver conference curriculum and offer constructive feedback within a secure and supportive setting.
• Assist participants in developing positive influence, conversation skills, team dynamics, public speaking, and workshop facilitation.
• Efficiently manage groups of different sizes, including those exceeding 20 participants, potentially with two facilitators.
• Partner with state staff to create conference schedules customized to the unique needs of each association.
• Oversee logistics and define deliverables for assigned conferences.
• Organize corporate partner visits during conferences when designated.
• Prepare expense reports, expense vouchers, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks.
• Maintain consistent communication with national staff regarding any changes and updates related to conferences.
• Accept and apply feedback throughout the conference season.
• Engage in in-person facilitator training, winter pre-training activities, and regular virtual coaching sessions.
• Conduct conferences lasting approximately 2–5 days, with assignments distributed throughout the annual season.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license maintained throughout the season.
• Successful completion of an MVR screening upon hiring.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening upon hiring.
• Capability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in prioritizing, organizing, and managing time effectively.
• Skills in problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Computer proficiency; ability to make and receive phone calls and utilize virtual meeting platforms.
• Confidence in facilitating student groups.
• Capability to coach, assess, guide, and inspire students.
• Ability to handle planning tasks, such as booking flights, reserving rental vehicles, scheduling calls, and crafting conference agendas.
• Ability to establish deliverables with state FFA officers and state staff.
• Capacity to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external state FFA officers, state staff, and national staff.
• Willingness to invest additional time in planning for each conference.
• Commitment to a minimum of 12 non-consecutive facilitation days throughout the annual season.
• High school diploma required.
• Preference given to applicants with 2+ years of experience in planning and facilitating conferences/workshops or equivalent teaching experience.
• Preference for former state FFA officers and/or past national FFA facilitators.
• Submission of a completed application and resume is required.
• A facilitation video is necessary for most applicants; it should be 3–5 minutes long, publicly uploaded to YouTube, showcasing at least two facilitation components and rapport-building.
• Availability to attend mandatory in-person facilitator training in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the full March 3–7 or March 4–7, 2027 period, depending on prior service.
• Completion of assigned preparation objectives during January, February, and March 2027.
• Consistent participation in virtual coaching calls throughout the season.
• Coverage and/or reimbursement for lodging, transportation, and meal expenses.
• Compensation for participation in March training and winter pre-training activities.
• Fixed-rate compensation per focus area facilitated, considering curriculum hours, preparation time, and travel.
