This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Assist in shaping the UX design vision, strategy, and roadmap for product experiences.
• Identify usability testing initiatives and evaluate feedback to guide design decisions.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and design leadership to UX designers.
• Enhance UX processes and promote widespread adoption of UX practices.
• Act as a UX authority across product teams.
• Spearhead user-centric design thinking, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
• Visualize design concepts through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Create intuitive user interfaces utilizing the Shield BeyondTrust Design System.
• Develop and refine the company’s design language and standards.
• Conduct and synthesize research activities while collaborating with UX Research specialists.
• Lead cross-functional workshops focused on project strategy, success metrics, and ideation.
• Partner with product managers, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to execute design solutions.
• Standardize user experiences, minimize design debt, and establish scalable UX practices.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, support, and executive management teams.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles.
• Stay updated on UX and cybersecurity advancements and participate in courses and conferences.
• Drive the adoption of AI-enhanced design practices and deliver developer-ready outputs, interactive prototypes, and AI-generated implementation assets.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in user experience design for enterprise/desktop software, web applications, mobile platforms, and other standard technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of user research methodologies, usability testing, and design thinking processes.
• Capability to mentor and coach UX designers.
• Comfortable working with remote distributed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong conceptualization and visual communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with common software development practices and proficiency within a software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proficient in HTML and CSS, including accessibility best practices.
• Ability to balance mentoring the UX team, hands-on UX work, and contributing to product decisions.
• Quick learner of new technologies and methodologies.
• Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with developers and managers to advocate for UX improvements.
• Effective communicator and contributor in a remote team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Nice to have: Experience with Windows and Mac OS.
• Nice to have: Experience with Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, and other mobile platforms.
• Nice to have: UX design experience in enterprise cybersecurity software.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Claude Code or Claude Design, Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Jira.
