This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of initiatives from the discovery phase to execution, which includes defining problems, conducting research, prototyping, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
• Enhance design maturity by advocating for user research and making decisions based on data.
• Leverage AI technology to expedite research synthesis, prototyping, exploration, documentation, and execution, while reducing handoffs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and subject-matter experts to transform vague, high-stakes challenges into measurable user outcomes.
• Work alongside design colleagues through brainstorming sessions, design critiques, storytelling, and the development of product vision.
• Refine design systems, visual language, and design principles through iterative processes.
• Develop journey maps and service blueprints that illustrate comprehensive user experiences.
• Utilize storytelling techniques to craft experience visions that align user outcomes with business objectives.
• Proven ability and passion for owning the experience design process from problem framing to delivery and iterative, data-driven refinements.
• Strong foundational UX design skills and craftsmanship in execution.
• Experience in creating elegant solutions within complex product environments.
• Proven track record of enhancing design maturity through mentorship, critique, systems thinking, or influence.
• Proficiency in using AI as a practical tool for prototyping, research synthesis, iteration, designing in code, and keeping up with current tools.
• Understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and human factors associated with large language models (LLMs).
• Commitment to mission-driven, human-centered work that addresses both functional and emotional needs.
• Ability to clearly articulate the design process and the rationale behind decisions.
• Experience working within Agile product delivery teams.
• Background in behavioral health, absence management, or other regulated, data-sensitive industries.
• Expertise in accessibility and a working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Strong skills in mobile design.
