Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead design initiatives from initial concept to refined execution across mobile and web platforms for a vital segment of Pika’s creative ecosystem.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to transform concepts and AI innovations into user-friendly experiences.

• Formulate product strategies and enhance interaction patterns.

• Advance ideas from prototypes to fully launched features.

• Establish and maintain visual language, design systems, and user flows.

• Engage directly with creators and the Pika community to enhance tools for creative expression.

• Articulate design intentions through storytelling, prototypes, and clear reasoning.

• Balance a systems-oriented approach with meticulous attention to typography, color schemes, spacing, and animations.

• Champion user-centric and empathetic design principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX).

• A portfolio showcasing shipped mobile applications.

• A proven history of leading UX and visual design efforts.

• Familiarity with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and system-level design principles.

• Ability to swiftly visualize, prototype, and iterate on new concepts in fast-paced settings.

• Proficiency in crafting robust, consistent design logic that aligns with users’ mental models.

• Strong collaborative skills across various teams.

• Experience in designing creative tools, social media platforms, or games is advantageous.

• Skills in design engineering, high-fidelity prototyping, or animation are a plus.

• A degree in design or a related field is not mandatory.

• Residing in or near Palo Alto, CA is a plus.

• Authorization to work for any employer in the US and addressing US work authorization/sponsorship status in the application is required.
