Staff Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the expansion of Firefox Enterprise in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

• Collaborate with Sales to facilitate strategic enterprise initiatives throughout the DACH region.

• Guide technical discovery and solution design alongside customers and partners.

• Conduct workshops with customer stakeholders in areas such as security, infrastructure, IAM, endpoint management, and workplace technology.

• Maintain the relationship with the customer's technical representatives during and post-sales process.

• Assist customers in assessing Firefox Enterprise in terms of deployment, policy management, identity integration, logging, security controls, and operational suitability.

• Design and support pilot programs, proof of concepts, and implementation plans.

• Offer guidance to customers on deployment models, architectural choices, and integration strategies for enterprise environments.

• Confirm interoperability across SSO, MFA, SIEM, proxy/network controls, endpoint tools, certificates/PKI, and browser policy frameworks.

• Identify and address technical risks, including application compatibility, certificate management, deployment complexity, and policy enforcement needs.

• Develop reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, deployment instructions, validation plans, and technical enablement resources.

• Support and empower partners involved in deployment, integration, and customer success.

• Advocate for Mozilla’s principles of openness, trust, and user agency in customer engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in a senior Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Architect, or Technical Account Manager role.

• Ideally possess in-depth knowledge of the DACH IT landscape, especially within the public sector, financial services, or KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) operators.

• Strong expertise in enterprise security, endpoint management, browser security, Zero Trust, IAM, or digital workplace infrastructure.

• Practical experience with Windows enterprise deployment.

• Practical experience with GPO / MDM / policy management.

• Practical experience with certificates / PKI / TLS / proxies.

• Practical experience with SSO / MFA / IdP integrations.

• Practical experience with SIEM / DLP / CASB ecosystems.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes / Helm in customer-operated environments.

• Experience in supporting pilots, technical evaluations, or enterprise deployments in complex customer settings.

• Capability to translate intricate regulatory requirements into technical configurations and sales evidence.

• Proficient in communicating clearly with both technical teams and senior customer stakeholders.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and assisting customers in moving from evaluation to deployment with confidence.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Native-level fluency in German.
