Staff Solutions Architect – New Logo

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Serve as Temporal’s lead technical representative for customer interactions within the New Logo team in the Central region.

• Assist potential clients in evaluating the suitability of their applications for the Temporal platform.

• Articulate both the technical advantages and limitations of the Temporal platform and cloud service.

• Position Temporal in relation to competing technologies and various technical frameworks.

• Empower customer engineering teams to enhance their production applications utilizing Temporal.

• Collaborate with Account Executives to formulate and implement account strategies.

• Manage relationships with customer technical decision-makers who are assessing and operating Temporal applications.

• Offer technical guidance to Sales Account Executives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional technical communication skills, encompassing presentation, whiteboarding, and written documentation.

• Proficient in discussing distributed system technologies, design choices, and industry best practices.

• Capability to create application prototypes and provide guidance on design, development, build, and deployment.

• Familiarity with at least one supported programming language: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, or PHP.

• Understanding of production application operations, including aspects such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.

• Ability to advise clients on application design patterns and platform architectures.

• Experience working with at least one major cloud service provider and widely used application development and production tools.

• Proficiency in advising Sales Account Executives on use-case relevance, opportunity assessment, and technical selections.

• Willingness to travel 25–50% of the time.
