Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical partner and consultant for prospects and clients assessing or expanding their use of ClickHouse.

• Collaborate with Sales throughout the entire process, from identifying technical requirements to deploying solutions at scale.

• Create reference architectures, data models, and ingestion/query strategies customized for customer scenarios, scaling needs, and existing data ecosystems.

• Take ownership of and conduct technical proofs of concept and benchmarks.

• Showcase ClickHouse's performance, scalability, and cost benefits compared to existing solutions.

• Work closely with Account Executives on technical account strategies, procurement and security assessments, and complex deal closures.

• Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops for engineers and VP/C-level stakeholders.

• Guide customers on schema design, query optimization, cluster sizing, replication, and database migration strategies.

• Deliver structured feedback from customers to product and engineering teams regarding gaps, feature requests, and competitive positioning.

• Develop reusable assets, demos, blog articles, reference architectures, and sample applications.

• Contribute to the establishment of team best practices, tools, and onboarding resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing technical position, such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Consultant.

• Ideally, experience in an infrastructure, database, or analytics-focused company.

• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and analytical/OLAP databases such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Druid, Vertica, or Redshift.

• Strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, including partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, and query execution at scale.

• Comfortable working with streaming systems like Kafka, orchestration tools, BI tools, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Proven ability to influence purchasing decisions through technical evaluations against competing alternatives.

• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with engineers and presenting to executives.

• Self-motivated and comfortable managing ambiguity and engaging in hands-on technology work related to revenue results.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, conferences, and team events.

• Direct experience with deploying or managing ClickHouse in a production environment is a plus.

• Experience with real-time analytics, observability, or large-scale event/log data applications is a plus.

• Contributions to open-source data infrastructure initiatives are a plus.

• Prior experience at an early-stage or rapidly growing startup is a plus.
