Staff Software Engineer – Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary engineering lead for a product initiative.

• Define challenges and determine the technical strategy.

• Take responsibility for architecture, data models, integrations, rollout strategies, observability, and rollback plans.

• Guide AI agents in code implementation and ensure high production quality.

• Develop prompts, establish guardrails, and create evaluation, testing, and review processes.

• Drive initiatives from problem definition through to production and subsequent reviews.

• Collaborate daily with the Product Manager on project scope and trade-offs, as well as with the designer on user experience decisions and prototyping.

• Work closely with fellow engineers and hold weekly meetings with the Engineering Manager.

• Own metrics for initiatives and present outcomes 2–4 weeks post-launch.

• Guarantee production accuracy, security, performance, observability, and customer/professional experience.

• Successfully deliver 3–4 initiatives within the first year and assist at least two in achieving their metrics.

• Develop reusable runbooks, evaluations, agent workflows, and post-launch documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• AI-native: Proficient in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools utilized daily in production work.

• Possess genuine opinions and hands-on experience with prompts, evaluations, agent workflows, and review processes.

• Proven experience in developing workflows where agents generate code while you guide, review, and validate.

• Operate at a leadership level: making strategic decisions, delivering challenging work, and owning results.

• Outcome-focused with experience in analyzing post-launch dashboards and tracking key metrics.

• Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, and engineering colleagues.

• Ability to create and document architectural, data model, and rollout decisions.

• Experience in producing reusable resources such as agent workflows, evaluations, runbooks, and post-launch assessments.

• Customer-centric and professional-oriented mindset.

• In-depth expertise in at least one of the specified technology stacks.

• Credible experience in production environments with AI coding agents.

• Familiarity with one or more of the following: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, MCP servers, evaluation tools, PHP/Laravel, TypeScript, React, React Native, Redshift, dbt, Segment, Airflow, AWS, Datadog, Sentry, GitHub Actions, Brain, Confluence, Jira.
