Software Development Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain features for the FinTech application utilizing Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.

• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code with a focus on performance and maintainability.

• Integrate third-party APIs and services effectively.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to deliver comprehensive software solutions.

• Work alongside Product Managers to convert business requirements into technical designs and features.

• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices within the team.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.

• Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Help ensure that software adheres to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Propose and implement enhancements to development processes, tools, and technologies.

• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing engineering environment.

• Adhere to security and compliance best practices.

• Identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2-4 years of professional experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.

• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API development.

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in using Git for version control.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and SonarQube.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in automated testing frameworks, including JUnit, Mockito, and PITest.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Jenkins, Kubernetes, and other DevOps automation tools.

• Preferred: Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React.

• Preferred: Understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and data security in FinTech applications.

• Preferred: Awareness of compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS.
