This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Establish a technical strategy for the team over a year-long timeline and align it with essential, business-impacting initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with product management, design, and analytics throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Define and promote technical solutions and operational practices.
• Oversee team operations and availability, which includes monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call responsibilities.
• Establish standards for code review and design, advocating for quality and ownership through documentation and technical presentations.
• Foster team development through constructive feedback, mentoring, and leading by example.
• Over 7 years of experience in developing and architecting mobile applications.
• More than 4 years of experience utilizing React Native.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo.
• Experience in authoring or migrating native modules and components.
• Familiarity with complex state management in React applications; proficiency in Redux Toolkit is advantageous.
• Experience executing major updates on React Native SDK and debugging across the JS↔native boundary with the New Architecture.
• Current knowledge of native OS releases and their implications for React Native applications.
• Experience with mobile testing and observability tools, such as Maestro/Appium, Sentry/Crashlytics, and Statsig/LaunchDarkly.
• Proficient with AI-assisted development tools, like Claude Code or similar agentic resources.
• A proven history of leading a team to successfully execute large-scale projects.
• Experience delivering significant features or system components, or phasing out existing functionality, through comprehensive technical and execution strategies.
• Ability to write clean, high-quality, and reusable code.
• Competence in navigating from low-level language idioms to large-system architecture.
• Demonstrated capability to gather and iterate based on feedback.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
