This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead initiatives to develop high-quality, scalable software systems.
• Engage in the design process from inception to completion.
• Conduct code and design reviews.
• Involve yourself in the entire application lifecycle, with an emphasis on coding and debugging.
• Produce clean code for functional web applications.
• Execute advanced troubleshooting and debugging tasks.
• Carry out UI tests to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.
• Oversee technologies to enhance legacy applications.
• Collect and address technical and design requirements.
• Configure and maintain environment setups while monitoring system health.
• Develop reusable code and libraries.
• Offer training and support to internal teams.
• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code structure.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Address on-call incidents and resolve critical disruptions.
• Communicate proactively with customers and vendors.
• Independently manage tasks, troubleshoot problems, and adhere to deadlines.
• Establish and uphold development standards.
• Advocate for an API-first approach to software projects.
• Drive decisions that align with strategic product goals.
• Take ownership of multiple product features end-to-end, which includes maintenance, triage, and resolution of on-call escalations.
• Promote the adoption of AI-driven engineering practices across teams.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in software development or a related field, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.
• Proven experience as a full stack developer.
• Strong familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, along with HTML and CSS.
• In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams.
• Experience in monitoring and supporting production systems.
• Advanced skills in optimizing system performance.
• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with REST API best practices.
• Advanced testing experience including unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
• Experience in building and deploying applications using Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to lead the adoption of AI-driven engineering practices.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience with SaaS solutions in technology and financial sectors.
• Preferred: Experience with Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
