Staff Software Engineer – Java, Cloud, Generative AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Technical Lead and Individual Contributor in developing an advanced platform tailored for health-centric product applications.

• Generate Proofs of Concept to enhance projects that address customer needs.

• Design and implement effective, scalable solutions that align with business requirements and quality benchmarks.

• Engage in solution design and architectural conversations with architects and senior engineers.

• Provide insights on technical feasibility, performance enhancement, and scalability.

• Take part in code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and quality directives.

• Communicate and collaborate with team members while contributing to technical decision-making processes.

• Promote the adoption of best practices, innovative technologies, and tools.

• Engage in knowledge sharing through code reviews, technical discussions, and workshops.

• Implement intricate features, improve existing functionality, and deliver high-quality code.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to provide expert support, address complex issues, and conduct root-cause analysis.

• Identify ecosystem deficiencies and develop solutions to enhance overall performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in enterprise solution delivery within a large-scale distributed software design setting.

• More than 5 years of experience in Java and Springboot development.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud projects and cloud computing technologies.

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and developing contemporary microservices and cost-effective APIs.

• More than 3 years of experience in CI/CD Pipeline automation.

• At least 3 years of experience in an Agile-based development environment.

• Over 2 years of experience with Agentic AI / Generative AI.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).

• Preferred: experience in the health and wellness domain.

• Preferred: full stack development experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle, and modern databases such as NoSQL.

• Preferred: understanding of Generative AI concepts and techniques, including NLP, text generation and summarization, conversational AI, and chatbots.

• Preferred: experience in developing user-facing features and/or applications.

• Preferred: capability to create and implement roadmaps.

• Preferred: ability to learn and work with emerging Cloud/IT technologies.

• Preferred: skill in collaborating across organizational boundaries.
