Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the architecture and technical strategy for large-scale, distributed enterprise applications.

• Design and build scalable, secure, and highly available backend services, primarily utilizing Python.

• Contribute to Java-based services and enhance the overall platform architecture.

• Lead architectural decisions, technical strategies, and engineering standards across various teams.

• Mentor engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting design reviews, and performing code reviews.

• Advocate for software craftsmanship through clean architecture, automated testing, security, observability, and operational excellence.

• Utilize modern AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to speed up development, enhance software quality, automate repetitive tasks, and boost engineering productivity.

• Promote continuous improvements in developer experience, platform capabilities, automation, reliability, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Python backend development.

• Solid working knowledge of Java.

• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and contemporary software architecture principles.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, observability, production troubleshooting, and application security.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging systems, caching technologies, and asynchronous processing.

• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available enterprise systems.

• Experience with modern AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar.

• Exceptional communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Hands-on technical leadership with the ability to influence through technical excellence.

• Strong architectural thinking and the capability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution.
