This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and services.
• Take ownership of the delivery of intricate features, services, or components independently.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to convert business and user requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the design of systems and solutions, making decisions on architecture, technical trade-offs, and implementation strategies.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and analysis.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, quality expectations, and secure development practices.
• Diagnose and rectify software defects, performance challenges, and reliability issues.
• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, release, and support.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other validation methodologies.
• Implement software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Enhance development workflows, automation, observability, and engineering productivity.
• Investigate emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, and propose practical applications.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, feedback on code review, and promoting strong engineering practices.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement, responsible AI usage, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant and related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Additional experience can be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, or other relevant tech stacks.
• Experience in delivering production-grade software and independently managing significant features or technical components.
• Capability to address problems of varied scope, analyze technical challenges, and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or analysis.
• Ability to apply AI tools responsibly, considering security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and human oversight.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile or Kanban methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with SQL and database concepts; hands-on database experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of OWASP threats, mitigation strategies, and secure coding practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Willingness to adhere to company on-call policies and work outside standard hours as necessary.
