Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create high-quality, efficient, and scalable software systems across both backend and frontend.

• Take ownership of the technical architecture and reliability of backend services as well as frontend microapps.

• Lead discussions on technical design, clarify requirements, and provide effective, maintainable solutions.

• Manage full-stack development projects, encompassing backend APIs in Python or Java and front-end integration.

• Act as architectural glue across various domains.

• Implement DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering best practices to enhance delivery efficiency.

• Mentor and coach engineers, elevating the technical standards within the team.

• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Assess and embrace emerging technologies as appropriate.

• Develop and incorporate intelligent features into the platform using LLMs, agents, and AI frameworks to enhance user value.

• Work in partnership with other teams to integrate and optimize intelligent features and workflows within the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 8 years of software development experience in building scalable, high-performance, and robust applications.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript with substantial experience in full-stack development.

• Proficiency in modern web frameworks such as React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

• Capability to pinpoint and codify React performance best practices, architectural trade-offs, and code-level enhancements.

• Experience with at least one backend language/framework, such as Node.js, Java, or Python.

• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and distributed systems.

• Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Solr, Vespa, or Lucene.

• Experience in cloud-native development with AWS or GCP.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

• Knowledge of observability tools and platforms for monitoring, logging, and tracing.

• Experience with service reliability, on-call ownership, and incident response for production systems.

• Proven ability to lead technically within distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code or Copilot, as a fundamental part of daily engineering tasks.

• A strong plus is having a track record of driving AI adoption within engineering teams, including setting best practices, defining guardrails, assessing tools, and enhancing team productivity through AI-assisted workflows.
