
Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical design and execution of intricate full stack applications.
• Strategically plan and implement technical roadmaps with minimal supervision.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Convert unclear business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Enhance system reliability, maintainability, and performance through refactoring, documentation, automated testing, and observability.
• Develop secure, accessible, and resilient applications utilizing modern engineering best practices.
• Communicate technical concepts, implementation methods, and architectural considerations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide mentorship to engineers through code reviews and technical support.
• Deliver high-quality software and assist the team in achieving project objectives, timelines, and customer requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree along with 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in developing modern web applications using React and Ruby on Rails.
• Experienced in designing and utilizing RESTful APIs and integrating distributed services.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development, preferably within AWS.
• Proficient in using Datadog or similar tools for monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, testing strategies, CI/CD, and modern engineering methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to engage directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 Public Trust or higher.
• Experience in federal government software modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Background in Agile software delivery teams.
• Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with supporting FedRAMP, FISMA, or other government compliance environments.
