Staff Software Engineer – Files Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain backend services for file storage, permission synchronization, and integrations with third parties at an enterprise level.

• Develop and establish event-driven systems for real-time permission distribution across Addepar’s financial graph and external storage providers.

• Adhere to compliance revocation service level agreements (SLAs).

• Work in partnership with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance teams on projects related to sensitive data access control.

• Assist in migration initiatives such as transitioning from FileVault to Box, consolidating webhooks, and evolving folder structures.

• Guarantee zero-downtime deployment in production environments.

• Guide and mentor engineers while fostering engineering best practices.

• Develop AI-driven functionalities for intelligent file processing, automated metadata extraction, and content-aware workflows.

• Assess the capabilities of emerging third-party file platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server.

• Capacity to manage complex projects that involve collaboration with multiple teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Must be ready to start work in the U.S. on the first day of employment.
