Staff Software Engineer, Delivery Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-centric solutions, utilizing AI as the primary foundation for addressing engineering challenges.

• Outline the complete agentic software development lifecycle.

• Assess shared tools and methodologies while assisting in establishing engineering standards.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify workflows and obstacles.

• Create and maintain shared platforms and developer tools utilized by various teams.

• Promote the adoption of shared tools and platforms.

• Measure the usage and effectiveness of agents to evaluate throughput, quality, costs, model selection, and reliability.

• Analyze models, vendors, and open-source tools to make informed build-vs-buy choices.

• Produce design documents and facilitate technical discussions across teams.

• Guide engineers in adopting agentic workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading efforts to enhance agentic developer experiences that transformed how an engineering organization develops software with AI agents.

• Regular hands-on experience with coding agents, agent harnesses, MCP, and skills or prompt design.

• Capability to assess agent outputs and analyze model and token economics.

• Experience in building and supporting internal platforms or developer tools and fostering their adoption.

• Background in production backend services using Go, encompassing API design, data modeling, and service integration.

• Over 8 years of experience in production engineering.

• Experience in making technical decisions that impact multiple teams, along with accountability for execution.

• Ability to make user-focused decisions, document clear trade-offs, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

• Candidates must be located in Europe or within the Eastern time zone.
