Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold systems, libraries, and components utilizing Java, Scala, Spark, and other technologies.

• Address enhancement requests from the product team.

• Mitigate identified vulnerabilities in code and dependency chains.

• Ensure systems remain compliant.

• Conduct reviews for systems privacy and security.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders following an agile development methodology.

• Troubleshoot functional or performance issues.

• Offer both formal and informal guidance to junior engineers.

• Engage in peer code evaluations and approvals.

• Maintain high standards of coding practices.

• Create highly efficient, cost-effective, secure, and scalable cloud components for Acxiom's data products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent professional background.

• Proficiency in creating reusable libraries, including interface definitions.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.

• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Experience in developing Java/Scala-based Spark internal components.

• Knowledge in pipeline/workflow orchestration.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Build/DevOps experience utilizing Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Terraform.

• Experience in application development with Databricks and/or Snowflake.

• Experience integrating with third-party platforms.

• Knowledge of Spring or Python.

• AWS Associate / Professional Certification (or equivalent in GCP).

• Experience with Generative AI.
