Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-level Provider Applications for Aetna.

• Drive technical solutions to tackle complex business challenges.

• Ensure the stability of applications.

• Lead cross-functional projects in the role of Project Owner.

• Utilize hands-on engineering skills and provide technical leadership.

• Manage the delivery of impactful solutions that enhance provider data systems and improve operational efficiency.

• Supervise vendor and contractor teams.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical application development experience with Appian Development, Java, Python, and GCP.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading or contributing to large-scale application development projects.

• Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

• Proven track record in project/program management, covering planning, execution oversight, and delivery management.

• Strong organizational, leadership, and planning abilities with the capability to juggle multiple priorities.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams and engaging cross-functional stakeholders.

• Previous exposure to provider data systems, healthcare platforms, or payer environments.

• Demonstrated knowledge in cloud-native architectures, integration patterns, and messaging systems.

• Strong analytical approach with an emphasis on continuous improvement and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).
