Staff Software Engineer – Data Platform, HL7

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Actively engage in the definition of the roadmap alongside senior product and engineering leaders.

• Assess and influence the strategic direction and decisions regarding technology.

• Propose solution source-code architectures and implementation strategies that prioritize maintainability, testability, and performance.

• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to comprehend software requirements and provide estimates for epics, features, and user stories.

• Script and oversee automated build processes, continuous integration systems, and staging environments.

• Provide mentorship to junior members of the development team.

• Develop and sustain software products tailored for healthcare technology settings.

• Serve as a thought leader and trusted expert across various technical domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.

• More than 5 years in a technical leadership or thought-leadership role.

• Advanced proficiency in Apache Spark, Python, Scala, Databricks, and big-data architecture.

• Practical experience with HL7, FHIR, Epic, clinical data, and healthcare technology environments.

• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.

• Strong understanding of web services and integration technologies, including XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON, and REST APIs.

• Experience with version control, automated testing, CI/CD, Agile development, and automated build and deployment processes.
