Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, implement, and sustain scalable cloud-based data pipelines that ingest and transform product, operational, and third-party data.

• Take ownership of data-pipeline architecture, encompassing orchestration, monitoring, reliability, performance, and data quality.

• Create workflows, transformations, and data models that convert raw data into reliable, actionable insights.

• Enhance data quality through validation, observability, monitoring, and clear accountability for critical datasets.

• Oversee and enhance the data stack, which includes PostgreSQL, Redshift, Airflow, and Terraform.

• Foster data literacy among both technical and non-technical teams through effective communication and collaboration.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, machine learning, or similar technical roles.

• Significant experience in building, operating, and enhancing production data pipelines.

• Proficient in relational and columnar databases, with advanced SQL skills and a solid understanding of dimensional data modeling principles, including fact and dimension tables.

• Skilled in Python, Docker, and workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.

• Practical experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.

• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, including version control, code review, testing, observability, and documentation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams distributed across the globe.

• Must be a resident of Bengaluru (previously known as Bangalore), India.
