Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of a customer-facing product, overseeing its functionality, operation, and business results.

• Engage with customers to determine what features to develop, build using AI agents, and take responsibility for the outcomes.

• Design systems capable of running on thousands of CPU cores and handling millions of requests daily.

• Create tests, evaluations, and safeguards to determine the reliability of work produced by agents.

• Influence the company's approach to AI agents and establish effective practices across various teams.

• Identify opportunities within the company where your role can provide the greatest value.

• Promote teamwork through knowledge-sharing sessions, project kickoffs, and cross-team evaluations.

• Collaborate directly with the CEO and CTO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building high-load, complex production systems.

• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for other engineers to follow.

• A product-first mentality with the capability to understand customer needs and business implications.

• Day-to-day experience in building with AI agents, along with the ability to verify, test, and take ownership of their outputs.

• Experience in deploying products using LLMs or agents in a production environment is a plus.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to create specifications or decision records.

• Proficient in collaborating with non-technical sales, go-to-market, and operations teams.

• Capacity to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, experiment, and advocate for innovative ideas.

• Eagerness to quickly learn new languages and tools.

• Primarily experienced in Go, AWS, and Terraform.

• Hands-on orientation as an individual contributor.

• Availability to work during EMEA hours.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across European time zones.
