Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers in the development and design of products focused on both customers and associates.

• Create, deploy, and provide ongoing support for production applications.

• Assist in selecting products and tools, configuring them, ensuring security, resilience, performance tuning, and monitoring in production environments.

• Contribute reusable foundational code, architectural diagrams, and documentation related to products.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications.

• Create functional, destructive, and other test suites to facilitate rapid deployment to production.

• Collaborate with the Product Team to ensure user stories are ready for developers, clear, and testable.

• Engage with team members through agile processes.

• Address inquiries from product and engineering teams.

• Mentor junior engineers on contemporary software development frameworks and lead technical discussions.

• Identify areas for improvement within the team and propose changes to enhance productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Extensive knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

• Proficient in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL database technologies.

• Experience with cloud computing methodologies.

• Proficient in CI/CD tools and contemporary software design patterns.

• Experience in data modeling for both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication.

• Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.

• Skilled in modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with version control systems.

• Experience in designing systems that ensure high availability, disaster recovery, performance, efficiency, and security.

• Exposure to developing technical roadmaps, including workload estimation, refactoring, and modernizing legacy systems.
