Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Develop features utilized by thousands of customers.

• Construct and uphold platform and administrative services that support Bloomreach SaaS products.

• Establish central services for Model Context Protocol APIs for external AI agents.

• Create customer provisioning and licensing orchestration services.

• Manage user administration, authentication, and authorization systems.

• Develop high-availability centralized configuration management.

• Build tools for customer integration and product optimization.

• Design, construct, and implement comprehensive projects.

• Review GitLab merge requests from teammates.

• Produce technical design documentation and collaborate on designs via Zoom.

• Enhance logging and alerting for components requiring high uptime.

• Write unit tests, generate merge requests, deploy development instances, and conduct smoke tests.

• Provide guidance to teams on authorization API integration.

• Work in conjunction with product managers to refine technical proposals and prioritize features.

• Decompose work into Jira tasks and coordinate task ownership with colleagues.

• Assist in high-reliability production deployments and facilitate knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience developing backend services with Python across various data systems.

• Active user of AI coding tools, including Cursor and Claude Code.

• Familiarity with web security principles, such as OWASP, and practices related to authentication and authorization.

• Experience in designing APIs for SaaS products.

• Experience operating services in production on public cloud infrastructures.

• Some background in Java/Spring or Go.

• Exposure to web frontend development using Angular or React.

• Capability to work across distributed cloud environments and diverse technology stacks.

• Proficient in organizing technical work across multiple teams, geographic locations, and departments.

• Willingness to proactively share expertise, mentor less experienced team members, and document work processes.

• Proficiency in Python, Java/Spring, Go, TypeScript, Angular, React, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
