Staff Software Engineer

• Spearhead initiatives and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable software systems.

• Engage in the design process from inception to completion.

• Guide decisions to meet strategic product objectives.

• Oversee multiple product features throughout their lifecycle.

• Manage product features, including on-call escalations, triaging, and resolution.

• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure efficient daily operations and precise planning.

• Participate in the complete application lifecycle, concentrating on coding and debugging.

• Write clean, maintainable code to create functional web applications.

• Execute advanced troubleshooting and debugging tasks.

• Conduct UI tests to enhance performance.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.

• Leverage cutting-edge technologies to upgrade legacy applications.

• Collect and address technical and design specifications.

• Establish and maintain environment configurations while monitoring system health.

• Develop reusable code and libraries for future application.

• Provide training and assistance to internal teams.

• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code structure.

• Mentor and offer technical support to junior engineers.

• Respond swiftly to on-call incidents, troubleshooting and resolving critical disruptions to minimize downtime.

• Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers and vendors.

• Set and uphold development standards within the team.

• Advocate for an API-first approach in software projects to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and extensibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development or a related field; or 6 years with an advanced degree.

• Proficient programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#, with demonstrated experience as a full-stack developer.

• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, as well as HTML and CSS.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete software development lifecycle (design, development, and deployment).

• Proven experience in developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure.

• Effective collaboration within an agile framework, possessing a problem-solving mindset and willingness to explore various approaches.

• Exceptional analytical and time management capabilities, with a proven track record of delivering value independently.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience providing technical insights.

• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product teams, and broader organizational initiatives.

• Proven expertise in monitoring and supporting production systems, including proficiency in identifying and resolving issues, implementing proactive measures, and tracking metrics.

• Advanced skills in optimizing system performance, with the ability to troubleshoot bottlenecks and implement performance enhancements.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with caching mechanisms.

• In-depth understanding and practical application of REST API best practices.

• Advanced strategies for developing tests, including unit tests, UI automation tests, and integration tests.

• Experience in building and deploying applications using Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry.

• Ability to participate in on-call rotation.

• Lead the adoption of AI-driven engineering practices, facilitating large-scale code modernization, specification-driven development, and efficient workflows across teams.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial sectors.

• Preferred: Experience in building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks like Flutter.
