Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead initiatives and contribute to the creation of high-quality, scalable software systems.

• Engage in the design process from inception to completion.

• Direct decisions to fulfill strategic product objectives.

• Take ownership of multiple product features from start to finish.

• Oversee product features, which includes on-call escalations, triage, and resolution.

• Facilitate code and design reviews.

• Participate in the complete application lifecycle, with a focus on coding and debugging.

• Write clean code to create functional web applications.

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and debugging.

• Execute UI tests to enhance performance.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.

• Manage technologies to enhance legacy applications.

• Collect and address technical and design requirements.

• Set up and maintain environment configurations while monitoring system health.

• Develop reusable code and libraries.

• Offer training and support to internal teams.

• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code structure.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

• Respond to on-call incidents and resolve critical disruptions.

• Communicate effectively with customers and vendors.

• Establish and uphold development standards within the team.

• Advocate for an API-first approach in software projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development or a related field, or 6 years combined with an advanced degree.

• Strong programming capabilities in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#, backed by proven experience as a full stack developer.

• Significant experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, along with HTML and CSS.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete software development process (design, development, and deployment).

• Experience in developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure.

• Exceptional analytical and time management skills, with the ability to deliver value independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in providing technical input.

• Proven capability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product teams, and broader organizational initiatives.

• Documented experience in monitoring and supporting production systems.

• Advanced experience in optimizing system performance.

• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, along with caching mechanisms.

• In-depth understanding and practical application of REST API best practices.

• Advanced strategies for developing unit, UI automation, and integration tests.

• Experience in building and deploying applications using Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

• Capability to lead the adoption of AI-driven engineering practices.

• A master's degree in engineering, technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial industries is preferred.

• Experience in building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes is preferred.

• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks like Flutter is preferred.
