Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-team initiatives from problem identification to production.

• Oversee architecture across teams and streamline systems to eliminate classes of work and defects.

• Tackle systemic issues arising from shared repositories, environmental conflicts, and queue bottlenecks.

• Design high-quality architecture, including gate standards, observability baselines, and safe-migration patterns.

• Establish organization-wide workflows, shared infrastructure, and verification practices for AI engineering.

• Assess emerging AI capabilities, evaluate their impact, and phase out ineffective tools.

• Deliver AI product features focused on clinical documentation, patient communication, and clinic data intelligence.

• Guide senior engineers and influence the hiring standards.

• Perform challenging code reviews and provide instruction through them.

• Collaborate with product leadership on systems that align with business objectives.

• Migrate around 80 .NET repositories to .NET 8 before the support deadline.

• Enhance tenant isolation within a HIPAA-compliant platform.

• Decrease CI pipeline duration.

• Transition AI features, such as an ambient clinical scribe, from pilot status to full product.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in producing software with C# and .NET.

• Proficiency with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.

• Proven history of owning architecture and delivering results across multiple teams.

• Production experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Familiarity with Angular is highly beneficial.

• Regular use of coding agents in engineering tasks.

• At least one production feature developed using large language models that has been shipped and operated.

• Experience with systems governed by HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, or similar regulations.

• Effective written and verbal communication across different time zones and with colleagues whose primary language is not English.

• Current and valid authorization to work in the country of application.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.
