Staff Software Development Engineer – Digital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable digital products aimed at providers and enterprise healthcare platforms.

• Lead the complete software delivery process across the entire technology stack.

• Design and execute scalable microservices and distributed systems architectures.

• Transform legacy applications into cloud-based, service-oriented platforms.

• Convert intricate business requirements into innovative and scalable technical solutions in collaboration with Product Management, Business, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams.

• Offer technical leadership for strategic projects, architectural decisions, technology selection, engineering standards, and delivery execution.

• Create and develop secure, highly available, and high-performance application architectures.

• Ensure that reliability, observability, maintainability, and compliance requirements are satisfied.

• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and the adoption of best practices.

• Implement and enhance cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Facilitate automated deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

• Utilize Redis, Kafka, SNS/SQS, relational databases, and NoSQL databases to achieve performance, scalability, and real-time processing.

• Advocate for emerging technologies and AI-driven engineering practices, including GenAI-enabled development tools and automation frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience in delivering enterprise-scale, full-stack applications.

• More than 5 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, or microservices design and development.

• At least 5 years of experience with React or TypeScript-based frameworks.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, and infrastructure-as-code for automated deployments.

• Over 3 years of experience with a public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with 4 years of relevant experience will be considered.

• Experience with REST, GraphQL, and microservices-based API integration and design.

• Proven experience in designing scalable distributed systems and modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native services.

• Knowledge of Redis or ElastiCache caching technologies.

• Experience in leading complex technical initiatives and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with GenAI technologies, tools, and frameworks in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience in mentoring engineers, conducting design and code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices.

• Strong expertise in relational and NoSQL database design and data management, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.

• Practical experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems such as Kafka, SNS, and SQS.
