Staff Scientist – Cardiac Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct research under the guidance of a faculty research member.

• Act as a technical or intellectual resource for the designated work group.

• Potentially take on responsibility for a specific area within the faculty member’s research program.

• Develop and manage research projects aligned with the supervising faculty member’s research focus.

• Collect preliminary data for grant proposals.

• Achieve the objectives of funded external grants.

• Prepare completed work for publication.

• Assist in writing grant proposals and academic manuscripts.

• Submit authored grants with the supervisor's approval.

• Conduct literature searches to support research projects and methodologies.

• Determine experimental designs, gather data, perform calculations, and analyze findings.

• Review research or data controls to validate research outcomes.

• Keep comprehensive records of research purposes, methods, results, and conclusions.

• Potentially supervise support personnel.

• Engage in research meetings and formal seminars.

• Present research findings to external audiences at national conferences and academic institutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctoral Degree is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.

• Proficiency in Reference Content, Research Analysis, Research and Development Functions, Research Documents, and Research Methodologies.

• Ability to conduct research under the supervision of a faculty research member.

• Capability to develop and manage research projects.

• Competence in gathering preliminary data for grant proposals and meeting the objectives of funded external grants.

• Ability to contribute to the writing of grant applications and manuscripts.

• Skills in performing literature searches and developing protocols, projects, or grant applications.

• Ability to determine experimental design, gather data, perform calculations, and analyze results.

• Capability to review research or data controls and validate research findings.

• Ability to maintain accurate research records.

• Proficiency in presenting and discussing research at meetings and seminars.
