This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Execute environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to collect, measure, and analyze air, water, materials, and soil.

• Identify, assess, and propose risk and remediation strategies/designs to guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

• Prepare applications for permits, risk assessments, technical documents, proposals, reports, and correspondence with regulatory agencies.

• Create systems and plans for environmental protection.

• Conduct Phase I/II environmental site assessments, ecological and natural resource field surveys, tank closure evaluations, asbestos remediation, stormwater management, and site planning and permitting.

• Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards while participating in pre-task planning.

• Perform site testing and provide recommendations for system design.

• Carry out site visits, field observations, and data collection.

• Lead and manage field staff in sampling, testing, data collection, and documentation of site activities.

• Prepare written proposals for client authorization.

• Analyze laboratory and field data to compile written reports.

• Engage in client meetings and project communications.

• Supervise the work of junior scientists, engineers, and technicians.

• Work under the guidance of a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related scientific field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or alternatively, a minimum of 7 years of related experience without a degree.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be necessary.

• Certification in the relevant field of expertise is required.
