Staff Renewals Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and consistently enhance the comprehensive renewal operating model, encompassing renewal identification and assignment, risk management, quoting, closure, and post-renewal data maintenance.

• Create and refine operational cadences for the renewal sector, emphasizing efficiency and process enhancement.

• Define, uphold, and advance retention reporting, which includes gross and net retention, churn, downgrade analysis, and the fundamental drivers involved.

• Collaborate with Revenue Technology, Revenue Analytics, Finance, and other stakeholders to optimize Salesforce and the systems and data flows that support CRM, subscription and entitlement records, quoting, orders, billing, and reporting.

• Convert business requirements into actionable specifications, validate solutions, and enhance data quality and operational controls.

• Streamline and scale the renewal process via automation, standardized workflows, alerts, playbooks, and self-service insights.

• Assist in renewals planning and capacity management, which includes segmentation, coverage models, productivity assumptions, capacity modeling, target setting, and scenario planning.

• Oversee and advance the Renewal Operations case-management program, focusing on intake, triage, routing, service-level visibility, resolution, and root-cause analysis.

• Document processes, mentor colleagues on the renewal process, and contribute to wider Revenue Operations initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Renewals Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, management consulting, strategy, or a related analytical and problem-solving position, with a focus on operational enhancements and cross-functional initiatives.

• Practical experience in both consumption and subscription renewal processes, including renewal forecasting, retention reporting, and the contractual and procedural aspects that dictate how renewals are finalized.

• Excellent critical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

• Highly skilled in Excel or Google Sheets; capable of constructing and validating models from the ground up and converting analysis into clear recommendations and actionable steps.

• Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) or equivalent data-querying tools is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Proficient in systems thinking and experienced in using Salesforce for pipeline and renewals reporting.

• Understanding of CRM, subscription or entitlement records, quoting, and billing relationships.

• Strong commercial acumen and comprehension of renewal complexities, including co-terming, amendments, expansions, downgrades, price adjustments, multiyear agreements, auto-renewals, procurement requirements, and approval policies.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.

• A curious mindset, sound judgment, a proactive approach, and the ability to quickly learn new domains and tools.
