This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and develop evidence-based treatment strategies for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with eating disorders and complex co-occurring conditions.
• Track vital signs, laboratory results, and clinical indicators to maintain medical stability in a virtual outpatient environment.
• Order laboratory tests, prescribe medications, gather medical records, and coordinate care with medical assistants and nurses.
• Collaborate within a 5-member treatment team comprising a therapist, dietitian, physician, peer mentor, and family mentor to create medical protocols and personalized care plans.
• Utilize EMR messaging and internal communication systems to address inquiries from patients and their families.
• Complete session notes, medical assessments, and necessary documentation in the electronic medical record within 24 hours.
• Work closely with external primary care providers, specialists, and inpatient/residential facilities as required.
• Engage in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical case discussions, departmental meetings, and continuing education activities.
• Deliver direct patient care without administrative or clinical supervisory responsibilities for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Graduate from an accredited medical school holding an MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Demonstrated experience or strong foundational competency in managing eating disorder medical treatment, including assessing refeeding risks, monitoring psychiatric/medical stability factors, and handling high-risk psychotropic medications.
• Strong medical knowledge base and high confidence in monitoring medical stability within a virtual high-acuity eating disorder framework.
• Candidate must reside in an IMLC member state to qualify for or maintain the IMLC pathway.
• Currently licensed through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) or IMLC eligible, meeting IMLC requirements and holding or eligible to obtain a Letter of Qualification (LOQ).
• Proven ability to deliver high-acuity, high-volume virtual care.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• High clinical maturity for handling complex and sensitive eating disorder cases.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort in a fast-paced digital health organization.
• Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday.
• Willingness to work two evenings per week from Monday to Friday until 6 pm in patients' time zones.
• Commitment to providing care exclusively in a virtual/telehealth setting.
