This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the product strategy and roadmap focused on organic discovery and AI visibility for all sites within the platform.
• Manage the technical foundations related to generated page types, encompassing crawlability, indexation, rendering, internal linking, structured data, and page performance.
• Transform recurring issues into product features through enhanced defaults, automation, shared capabilities, or safeguards.
• Ensure that clients' brands, listings, and expertise are comprehensible to AI assistants; establish metrics for citations and visibility across answer engines.
• Conduct experimentation programs utilizing representative site cohorts, measure incremental impact, and implement successful changes on a larger scale.
• Oversee the quality of migration processes and prevent regression by setting standards, acceptance criteria, and automated checks.
• Collaborate with the website platform team to integrate search functionality into the platform from the outset.
• Provide product teams with a seamless approach to rectify search implementations.
• Define platform-level objectives for organic performance, AI visibility, and client success.
• Present performance metrics against goals to leadership.
• Over 8 years of combined experience in SEO and product management, including more than 3 years as a product manager working closely with engineering teams.
• Proven experience managing search for a platform that supports multiple independent customer domains, such as a website builder, hosting or commerce platform, or a multi-location/franchise network.
• Strong technical expertise in rendering and JavaScript SEO, crawl and index management, information architecture, structured data, page performance, and migrations.
• Experience in designing for website visitors, crawlers, and AI agents.
• Proficient in experimentation and measurement techniques, including cohort testing, causal impact analysis, large-scale Search Console data, log analysis, and differentiating results from coincidence.
• Up-to-date perspective on AI search, particularly regarding how models discover, interpret, and cite brands.
• Skilled in using AI as a tool for system investigation, establishing ground truth, prototyping solutions, and facilitating workflow.
• Capable of getting requirements executed by teams not directly managed by the candidate.
• Preferred: experience with a website platform such as Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress, or Duda.
• Preferred: familiarity with programmatic or template-driven SEO across extensive page inventories.
• Preferred: experience in local and entity-driven search.
• Preferred: involvement in conversion and page experience projects alongside acquisition efforts.
• Preferred: background in PropTech, real estate, or other B2B2C sectors.
• Preferred: experience in developing client-facing reporting or diagnostic tools tailored for a non-technical audience.
